This knife bar looks very good, but it seems to not have magnets distributed evenly. The result of this is that if you put knives on in certain places, they will spinto get closer to the magnets. Large knives like carving, bread, and santoku, are much worse for this than smaller paring knives. It is very difficult to find a place on the bar that the large knives will sit still.This does not occur on bars that have magnetic strips running the entire length. We have Shun knives that we keep very sharp, and after having long blades spin on me twice, I took this bar down and tossed it. Back to the metal bar for us.Also, it was generally cheaply put together, the metal mounting slots were not screwed on properly, so I had to fix that before putting it up, and the lamination is not of the best quality.
