I got this as a birthday gift from my wish list. I am one happy girl. I saw one of these in BH&G magazine and went looking for them. This was the most reasonably priced I could find. I am pleasantly surprised to find the the magnet is quite strong. It holds 6 large knives and my kitchen scissors with space in between them. It took very little time to mount (only minutes) which is always a bonus. It is a great way to keep knives out of the reach of little fingers and protects the blades from becoming dull in the drawer from banging together. If you need to quickly chop for a cooking project, all you have to do is grab the appropriate knife from the wall and pull out a cutting board (even easier if you keep the cutting board in the cabinet just below the knives).I was concerned that it may not look that great in person, but it makes a very nice appearance in my semi-modern kitchen.
