We used this cartridge to make save-the-date magnets for my sister's wedding. The magnets aren't strong enough to hold more than a single sheet of paper. It's more for decoration, like if you wanted to magnetize some pictures to go on the fridge (or in lockers!) It works just like all the other xyron catridges. You take something you have, or something printed from your household printer and run it through the Creative Station you're using. You should use something flat, or near flat since the rollers inside the Creative Stations aren't meant to handle more than a layer of paper or two. Also, since the magnet isn't very strong I wouldn't recommend any heavy papers or gluing too much on it afterwards. Pros:
-Easier to work with than packages of magnet material which are either messy to glue on, or come with adhesive that doesn't stick
-As long as it fits in your Creative Station, the magnet material will be applied to the entire piece of media you're working with, not just a small square of it
-The lamination makes everything permanent. it won't fall apart!
One Con:
If you make anything very long, the magnet will curl up because the stuff in the catridges is rolled up inside. This is enough to stop it from staying on your fridge! You'll need to lay it flat, upside down, under something overnight if you find that your magnets are curling. Something the size of a 4x5 photo or business card size won't be a problem, but anything longer and you might run into a lot of curl.
Overall it's great for getting creative!
